The Creative Experience covers a variety of artists and art styles. It is not a comprehensive history of art but a study of art and artists: how artists use the elements of art, the principles of design, their inner feelings, and the world around them to inspire their art and in turn to inspire their viewers. It is meant to encourage you to look further into the world of art and your own creative side. Everyone is creative and it is important in our ever-changing world that we learn to cultivate and use our creative power in life and in whatever career we choose.

Wendy Fosterwelsh received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She also earned an art education certification and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Georgia Southern University. She has taught at the elementary, high school, and college levels, as well as conducting workshops in creativity, graphite pencil, book arts, and collage techniques. She teaches courses in art education, color theory, art history, drawing, painting, and basic design. She has received grants to create collage workshops for victims of domestic violence, to travel to England to study Turner and the Pre-Raphaelites, and to study Georgia O’Keefe in New Mexico. In her spare time she creates art.
